Our "Where're You From?" series continues at The Gulfport Memory Cafe.

Next Monday, April 10th from 11:15am-12:30pm, we’re continuing our “Where’re You From?”, series. This time we’ll explore Arkansas- “The Natural State”.

Gulfport Memory Café meets every 3rd Monday, monthly from 11:15am-12:30pm at Neptune Grill Restaurant, 5501 Shore Blvd. South, Gulfport, Fl. 33707. Dia, Neptune Grill Restaurant Manager, is the BEST!

If you, a friend, or loved one suffers with memory problems, and/or you have recently been diagnosed with dementia, you are invited to attend our monthly meetings. Your spouse or family caregivers are welcome too. This is a casual, safe, non-judgmental environment to get together in. It’s a change of pace, a chance to meet interesting new people, and to relax a little.

Memory Café is FREE to attend, and is being sponsored by Cate McCarty, PhD of Dr. Cate, Dementia Coach, and Jane Ogilvie, Elder Care Issue Consultant of Senior Solutions of Pinellas County. Jane and Cate are committed to promoting quality of life, and raising dementia awareness. They understand dementia professionally and personally, and are happy to bring Memory Café to Gulfport.

The Memory Café concept originated in the UK. It’s popularity and helpfulness has proven to be one of the most effective means in combatting loneliness, feelings of embarrassment, and of being stigmatized by a disease.

Individuals worried about their memory and their family care companions are invited to attend.
