Today in Gulfport: Fresh Market, Clothing Swap, Book Sale

Free Clothing Swap: Come out during the Fresh Market on Tuesday from 9 - 12 p.m. and swap your garments! Bring up to 5 garments to exchange for free with other swap participants or purchase vouchers for $3 each to select clothing. All proceeds and remaining clothing donations will be donated to CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse). The clothing swap is held at Beach Boulevard and 30th Ave S.

Tuesday Fresh Market: Stock up your fridge and freezer by stopping by the Fresh Market between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. every Tuesday. Remember to "like" the Tuesday Fresh Market on Facebook before heading out!

Books For Sale: Did you know that the Gulfport Public Library has shelves and shelves of used books for sale? The Friends of the Gulfport Library have a space in the library where you can buy a good read for a good price. Just stop by the Gulfport Public Library Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Don't forget to "like" the library on Facebook today!

Ballroom Lessons: Carol Baker will show you how to glide on the dance floor! Come out today for intermediate lessons at 12 p.m., beginner lessons at 1 p.m. and all around ballroom dancing from 2 - 3 p.m. Admission is just $7 per person at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. 

Rain Chances Drop: Just in time for the workweek, the rain chances for Tampa Bay are dropping. We’re looking at a 20 percent chance of rain on Tuesday, Sept. 10. But, don’t celebrate just yet: The high temperature is still expected to fall in the rather steamy 90 range, according to the National Weather Service.
