Do you have a presentation, interview, toast or other public speaking event comment up soon? Would you like to manage the nervousness you feel before you interview for a job or give a presentation at work or in school? Gain confidence speaking in front of others? Any time we interact with other people, we are engaging in “public speaking.” Many of us get nervous: our hands or voice (or both!) shake, we stumble over the words we want to use, or we are stiff as a board while talking. The most effective way to overcome this and improve our public speaking skills is by practice, practice, and more practice. What better way to start practicing than participate in a Speechcraft!

What is a Speechcraft?

It is the quickest means by which you can jump right into the process of improving your speaking skills. Speechcraft is structured and run like a condensed Toastmasters* meeting with short educationals during the meeting and coaching at the conclusion of each meeting. During the program you will have the opportunity to give 3-4 short presentations that are 3-5 minutes in length.

Speechcraft participants learn public speaking and evaluation skills in a safe, supportive environment and derive many benefits. The benefits include:

I’m glad you asked! The members of Cool ‘n Confident Toastmasters are excited to offer you the opportunity to start along the path to gaining confidence, managing your nervousness when speaking, and improving your public speaking skills.

Cool ‘n Confident Toastmasters is hosting a 6-week Speechcraft on Mondays from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., starting November 2, 2015 at PARC, 3190 Tyrone Blvd. N, St. Petersburg, Florida (near Tyrone Square Mall).
