$1 Million Florida Lottery Scratch-Off Win For Lakeland Woman

Lakeland has a new millionaire after a $5 investment at a local store turned a lucky resident into a lottery winner.

LAKELAND, FL — Lakeland's newest millionaire is Kimberly Franklin, 63, who claimed $1 million playing the $5 Gold Rush Supreme Scratch-Off ticket June 21, according to the Florida Lottery.

Franklin purchased her winning ticket from Dad's Supermarket Meat Market, 1510 Kathleen Road, Lakeland. She chose to receive her winning as a one-time, lump sum payment of $880,000. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The Florida Lottery announces that Kimberly Franklin, 63, of Lakeland and Gary Moore, 61, of Zephyrhills each claimed $1 million Scratch-Off top prizes at the Tampa District Office.
Franklin claimed a $1 million top prize playing the $5 GOLD RUSH SUPREME Scratch-Off ticket and chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump sum payment of $880,000.00. She purchased her winning ticket from Dad's Supermarket Meatmarket LLC, located at 1510 Kathleen Road in Lakeland. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
