A 16-year-old girl who went missing from her Lakeland home early Tuesday morning has been found safe, authorities said.

LAKELAND, FL — Emma Lynn Carter, 16, of Lakeland, has been been found safe, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Emma Lynn Carter left a Lakeland home in the early morning hours May 11, according to investigators. Police could not provide a clothing description or vehicle description.
