617 Child Pornography Images Found In Suspect's Computer: Police
A Winter Haven man faces charges following a battery incident when authorities found disturbing images of children in his possession.
WINTER HAVEN, FL — A Winter Haven man is accused of having more than 600 images and videos of child pornography, Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
Taylor Stracqualursi, 29, was arrested Wednesday on child pornography charges after deputies said they received a tip that he had pictures on his iPhone of children being sexually abused. The suspect did a factory reset on his phone when he knew authorities were on the way to his house following a domestic violence incident, investigators said. He is accused of battering a victim in the home located on Lakes Sears Drive as they tried to take his phone away from him.
As detectives searched through one of his computers, they found 617 images of child pornography that showed babies between the ages of six months old to 12 years old. Stracqualursi faces the following charges, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office:

- Tampering with evidence
- 617 counts possession of child pornography (enhanced)

The felony child porn charges are upgraded (enhanced) if the suspect possesses 10 or more images of child pornography and at least one image contains any of the following criteria:
- Image depicts a child younger than the age of 5
- Image depicts sadomasochistic abuse of a child
- Image depicts sexual battery of a child
- Image depicts sexual bestiality involving a child
- Any movie involving a child
"We are conducting a thorough investigation to see where this suspect got the child pornography, who he distributed it to, and if he's sexually abused any children to whom he's had access," Sheriff Grady Judd said. "The sheer volume of this disgusting collection of images showing children being raped and sexually violated is horrible. His actions are vile and demented, and he needs to stay locked up."

Officers also took external hard drives, flash drives, laptops and cell phones from the suspect's house to search through.
