COVID-19 Vaccinations Completely Booked In First Week
Polk seniors who didn't schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment for the first week of open registration will have to wait until next time.

POLK COUNTY, FL — COVID-19 vaccination appointments filled up for the rest of this week in Polk County on the first day of registration for seniors, the Polk Health Department said.
County health officials said they anticipate additional vaccination events to take place next week. Updates will be provided on the health department's website.
As seniors across the Tampa Bay area experienced registration frustrations with online issues and phone system problems, so did seniors in Polk County. The health department said significant increase in phone calls Monday caused its phones system to experience technical difficulties.
