Free Coronavirus Masks Mailed To Bartow Residents From The City

Bartow residents will soon open their mailboxes to find a package of masks gifted by city officials.

BARTOW, FL — Masks will soon arrive in the mailboxes of Bartow residents, the city of Bartow said.

In an effort to help prevent the spread of coronavirus in the Polk County community, the city is providing four cloth masks to every residence within the Bartow city limits.

The city said recommendations for proper mask use and cleaning will be included inside the package.

City manager George Long encourages community members to wear masks and pass them along to people in need.

A specific date of when masks will be mailed to homes was not given by the city, but Long said it will be soon.
