LAKELAND, FL – If you’re one of those people who are fascinated by hurricanes and wonder how in the world people fly safely in them, this event is for you.
As part of a week-long tour along the Gulf Coast, The NOAA Hurricane Hunters will make a stop at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport on May 11 for the 2018 Hurricane Awareness Tour. Come tour two of the Hurricane Hunter aircraft, speak with the pilots, and walk through vendor exhibits from various local agencies and organizations.
The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m. and is free.
