Jacob sees success in wrestling and life

Jacob Reynolds, while blind, is seeing great success on the wrestling mat and in life in general. Jake wrestlers on the varsity wrestling team at Citrus High School. He has been wrestling for the team for 1 1/2 years under the tutelage of head coach Jeff Wood.

Jake started out watching WWE and later signed up for Coach Wood's wrestling camp. Jake started out learning simple defensive moves like "belly to the mat" to being offensive and developing go to moves to get pins.

In speaking with a wrestling referee, he stated that this is the second blind wrestler he has officiated for. He mentioned that while wrestlers seem cautious at wrestling someone that is blind they are actually at a disadvantage for not realizing the the "touch rule" more than evens the playing field.
