Lakeland School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

LAKELAND, FL— The first day of school in Lakeland is August 13 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Polk County School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day Observed)
• 11/19-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Vacation)

December

• 12/21: End of First Semester
• 12/22-1/7: No School (Winter Holidays)

January

• 1/7: Students Return to School
• 1/18: Report Cards
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/8: Non-Student Day (Florida State Fair Day)
• 2/15: Storm Makeup day
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day Holiday)

March

• 3/25-3/29: Spring Break

April

• 4/5: Report Cards
• 4/19: No School for Students

May

• 5/13-5/24: Graduation
• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/30: Last Day of School for Students
