Miss Florida 2017 To Be Crowned In Lakeland

LAKELAND, FL – Young women from across the state will compete for the right to wear the crown as Miss Florida during the Miss Florida Pageant and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Pageant.

The 82nd Annual Miss Florida Pageant and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Pageant will take place from Tuesday, June 27 to Saturday, July 1 at the RP Funding Center’s Youkey Theater, formerly known as the Lakeland Center, 701 Lime St.

The Miss Florida Pageant is a preliminary competition to the Miss America Pageant, the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women and one of the nation’s largest achievement programs.

Residents of Central and West-Central Florida vying for the title of Miss Florida 2017 are:

• Miss Central Florida – Abigail Cunnane, Orlando
• Miss City Beautiful – Chandler Parnell, Windermere
• Miss Daytona Beach – Lexie George, Oviedo
• Miss Desoto Heritage Festival – Samantha Hyatt, Lakewood Ranch
• Miss Florida Citrus – Rachel Smith, Clearwater
• Miss Gainesville – Courtney Graham, Dade City
• Miss Imperial Polk County – Rhiannon Smith, Tampa
• Miss Largo – Courtney Nathe, San Antonio
• Miss Manatee County – Jercoiya Wiaters, Bradenton
• Miss Manatee River – Jessica Hargrave, Palm City
• Miss Orange County – Lauren Nielsen, Sarasota
• Miss Orlando – Katy Sartain, Dade City
• Miss Osceola – Morgan Boykin, Thonotosassa
• Miss Pasco County – Payton Barrington, Orlando
• Miss Pinellas County – Elizabeth Stivers, Celebration

The preliminary rounds of the Miss Florida Pageant will take place June 27-29 at 7:30 p.m. The Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Preliminary Pageant will take place at 4 p.m. on June 30.

The Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Pageant and the Miss Florida Pageant will take place on July 1 at 4 p.m. and 7: 30 p.m. respectively.
