No Appointment Required For COVID-19 Vaccines At Lake Center
Haines City is giving residents who are in the state eligibility groups to receive vaccines as walk-ups until supplies last.
HAINES CITY, FL — Polk County residents in the eligible vaccine groups can get a COVID-19 shot on Tuesday without an appointment in Haines City, according to the city.
Health officials at Lake Eva Event Center, 799 Johns Avenue, are administering the vaccines on a first-come, first-serve basis to full-time or part-time Florida residents until 4 p.m. or supplies run out, March 9.
An appointment is not required.

The following eligibility groups may receive vaccines:
- People aged 65 and older
- Healthcare workers with direct patient care (any age)
- Sworn law enforcement officers aged 50 and older
- Firefighters aged 50 and older
- K-12 teachers and personnel aged 50 and older
For proof of residency, bring a Florida driver’s license, or proof of residency. School personnel, law enforcement and healthcare professionals should bring their work ID.
