Panther Point Trail Increases To 8 Miles
The newly added trailhead to Panther Point connects Mashall Hampton Reserve to the Fort Fraser Trail, officials said.

BARTOW, FL — Panther Point Trail's distance has increased by 4 miles, Polk County officials said Thursday.
A new trailhead was added to the trail making it a total of 8 miles. It connects Marshall Hampton Reserve’s trail system to the Fort Fraser Trail. Portions of Panther Point run along Lake Hancock and adjacent wetlands within county and Southwest Florida Water Management District conservation lands where hikers, bicyclists and nature enthusiasts may explore the outdoors and enjoy scenic views of nature.
Residents and visitors have access to more than 20 miles of paved and unpaved multi-use trails around Lake Handcock with the recent add-ons.
