Polk County Vaccination Rate Lags Behind: Report
Polk County recently hosted its first vaccine walk up-clinic since the start of the pandemic more than a year ago.
HAINES CITY, FL — The Florida Department of Health in Polk County hosted its first COVID-19 vaccine walk-up clinic in Haines City Tuesday as the county's vaccination rate lags behind other counties, WFLA reported.
The outlet reported that state data shows 18 percent of people in Polk County are fully vaccinated, and 29 percent have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
