Tornado Touches Down In Kathleen: National Weather Service

A tornado touched down in Kathleen at 11:21 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

LAKELAND, FL — A tornado touched down in Kathleen at 11:21 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Weather officials issued a tornado warning for Polk County, Hillsborough and Pasco Counties on Friday night.

A tornado warning was later also issued for Sarasota early Saturday morning.

Weather officials said amateur radio reported damage to the roof at Kathleen Middle School in Lakeland.
