Trinity Prep Girls Weightlifting at 2018 State Regionals

Trinity Prep weightlifting coaches Erin Miller and Harry Meyers were very, very proud of the 19 Trinity Prep girls weightlifters who participated at State Regionals on Wednesday January 17 at Frostproof High School in Frostproof Florida. Trinity Prep brought home the runner-up trophy again this year. The team was runner-up in 2015-2016 and 18 out of 19 athletes earned team points at 2018 Regionals in Frostproof. The coaches are proud of all the Trinity weightlifters and their efforts in the 2017 to 20178 season.

A special appreciation goes out to Elizabeth Gordon, Sophia Cheros, and Paige Kienle. Elizabeth and Paige are captains of the team while Sophia is a senior and has been on the team since her 8th grade year.

The Trinity girls weightlifting program has been in place for just 7 years making the accomplishments of the weightlifters and team very impressive. With 58 girls Trinity on the roster it stands as one of the larger programs in Florida. Coach Miller stated that Varsity B squad coaches Nicole Garcia and Amanda Dean did a great job in 2017-2018.
