LAKELAND, FL — There's dining options around the Lakeland area this Valentine's Day into the long holiday weekend if you are looking for a romantic dinner for two.

If you're going on a first date for Valentine's Day, safety experts suggest that you do a simple Google search before meeting your date, use a Google Voice number instead of your own, schedule a video chat prior to the date and drive yourself or take public transportation, according to website Safety.com.
