As of March 22, Florida residents age 50 and older can get the COVID-19 vaccine. Here is your guide how to make a COVID-19 appointment.

LAKELAND, FL — As of March 22, Florida residents age 50 and older can get the COVID-19 vaccines per an executive order signed recently by Gov. Ron DeSantis.
If you are eligible to make an appointment, listed below are the most recent places administering vaccines at the following places in and near Lakeland:
Polk County Health Department

- Register online at Polk County's COVID-19 vaccine portal after you create an account. If you need assistance registering, contact Polk County's COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center at (863) 298-7500.
Pharmacies (Federal sites)
- Publix, register online Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 a.m. Educators, regardless of age, will be given priority for COVID-19 vaccine appointments until further notice, Publix said on its website.
- CVS
- Check Walmart and Sam's Club for registration and appointment availability.
Homebound Residents
- Homebound individuals can contact the Florida Department of Emergency Management (FEDM) at HomeboundVaccine@em.myflorida.com. Inform the department that you are in need of a vaccine. If you meet eligibility requirements, FDEM said it will send a survey to you and then work with the Florida Department of Health strike teams to deliver vaccines.
