Vinny Testaverde's Lakefront Estate To Be Sold To Highest Bidder

ODESSA, FL -- You'd think it would be easier to sell a multi-million home in Florida. But former NFL great Vinny Testaverde hasn't gotten a nibble on his $7 million lakefront Odessa estate. So he's handing it off to an auctioneer.

With a starting bid of $2.5 million, the 12,700-square-foot estate on Lake Keystone will go to the highest bidder at an auction on Tuesday, April 9 starting at 7 p.m.

Hoping to downsize now that the kids are grown, the retired quarterback and his wife, Mitzi, put their mansion on the market a couple of years ago.

They purchased the gated home at 17122 Gunn Hwy, Odessa, Florida, in 2004 for just under $795,000 and then spent more than $1 million renovating the property. The current market value of the home, according to the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser's Office, is $3,262,746.

And what does that money buy?

For starters, the home has six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and four half baths. It includes a movie theater, game room, dance studio, sauna, full-size gym, sun room, billiard room with bar and wine cellar.

The kitchen features a butler’s pantry, another walk-in pantry and state-of-the-art appliances.

The over-sized laundry room with a moveable island even has a gift-wrapping station.

Golfers have a choice of using the outdoor putting green or the golf simulation room on the third floor.
