13 Florida Powerball Millionaires in $1.58 Billion Drawing
One jackpot ticket was purchased in Florida. Jackpot winners were also announced in California and Tennessee.

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Thirteen people who purchased Powerball tickets in Wednesday night’s world-record $1.58 billion drawing are millionaires Thursday morning.
According to the Florida Lottery, one ticket from Florida was a jackpot winner with all five numbers and the Powerball selected. That winner will split the $1.58 billion jackpot with winners in California and Tennessee. One Florida ticket won a $2 million prize and 11 $1 million tickets were also sold in the Sunshine State.
“That’s 13 new Florida Powerball millionaires,” the lottery wrote on its Facebook page.

The winning numbers in the Jan. 13, 2016, drawing were: 8, 27, 34, 4, 19. The Powerball is 10.
The jackpot ticket was purchased in Melbourne Beach.

The lottery, whose website has crashed due to heavy traffic several times during the Powerball’s climb to $1.58 billion, was running with a single page website as of Thursday morning, only displaying the winning numbers.
As of Thursday morning, the Saturday, Jan. 16, jackpot was estimated at $40 million.
