$2 Million Powerball Winner in Florida: Check Those Numbers
One lucky Florida Powerball player is $2 million richer after playing Wednesday. More than 150,000 winning tickets were sold in Florida.

TALLAHASSEE, FL — While no one managed to win Wednesday night’s $422 million Powerball grand prize, one lucky Floridian did manage to match five numbers with a Power Play. That ticket is worth $2 million, according to Powerball.com.
The big winning ticket was purchased in Boca Raton, according to the Florida Lottery. Details about the winner or where exactly the ticket was purchased have not yet been released.
All told, 151,861 players from Florida won a prize from Wednesday’s drawing, PowerBall.com says. Five people managed to match four numbers with a Powerball, which is worth $50,000.

With no grand prize winner in Wednesday’s drawing, the pot for Saturday has climbed to an estimated $478 million.

Wednesday's $422 million jackpot ranked at No. 11 for largest prizes in U.S. lottery games. With no jackpot winner, it moves to No. 8 in the jackpot rankings.
The billion-dollar-plus prize won in the Jan. 13 drawing was the largest lotto jackpot awarded in U.S. history and was split by three winners.
The Powerball game is played by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball number. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time. Each ticket costs $2.
Powerball is played in 44 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
