Adoptable Dog: Diamond Is Forever For Right Family

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The staff at Pasco County Animal Services is on a mission. The animal services workers are determined to find a permanent home for Diamond, one of the shelter's long-term residents.

Diamond has been at the shelter for 339 days. She's almost 5 years old and can sit, lay down and even play dead on command.

She doesn't always show well in her kennel (where she sometimes seems withdrawn and timid), which may be the reason she's constantly passed over. But get her out in the yard and you'll see a completely different pup. She's happy, loves to play catch and gets along with kids and other dogs (although she does have a problem with cats).
