LAND O' LAKES, FL -- Baldomero-Lopez State Veterans' Nursing Home at 6919 Parkway Blvd., Land O' Lakes, is celebrating its 20 year anniversary with a ceremony on Tuesday, April 30 at 11 a.m.

The Hillsborough High School JROTC Color Guard will be present and Lt. Col. Demetrius Green will be the featured speaker. He is the in charge of the JROTC program at Hillsborough High School.

Representatives from the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs and several local veterans associations will be in attendance.

The Baldomero-Lopez State Veterans' Nursing Home in Land O' Lakesopened to residents in 1999. The 120-bed facility provides skilled nursing care.

Following the ceremony, Operation Patriot will be provide a barbecue lunch for everyone.

Operation Patriot Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 2007 by Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies. Its mission is to provide for the needs of the veterans residing at Baldomero-Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home, making their retirement years more comfortable.
