Check Out, Download Books with Land O' Lakes Library Apps

The Pasco County Library has two apps for readers on the go.

Need to check out a library book? There's an app for that.

"LS2 Mobile is the online cataloging program that we use with the public side of our website," Land O' Lakes Library teen services manager Paul Stonebridge said.

The app gives similar access to the library catalog and search features. It also allows placement of holds and other services, Stonebridge said.

It is available for Apple devices and Androids.

The library also offers another app, Overdrive Media Console, that allows users to access its large collection of e-books and digital audio books in a variety of formats, Stonebridge said.

"We have titles compatible with Apple devices, Android, Windows Media Player, Adobe E-Pub Reader, and more," Stonebridge said. "The books can be checked out just like a library book, with the file expiring after a fixed time, usually one or two weeks."
