Dear CMCS families,
Find out what's happening in Land O' Lakesfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
We know that there are many questions and anxieties surrounding returning to school and our Reopening Plan. We were given an update this afternoon and wanted to provide you with the most up-to-date information.
Due to the Florida Department of Education's 2020-Emergency Order-06 (2020-EO-06) issued on Monday, July 6 and after confirmation from Pasco County Schools today, CMCS is happy to announce that we will be able to offer two educational options for the fall: Traditional and CMCS Online.

Based on 2020-EO-06, these innovative learning options will be in place for the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year.
Please take time to understand our plans for our two educational choices by exploring our CMCS Reopening Plan FAQs page. Please note that our FAQs have been updated as of today. Also, keep in mind that we are still developing specific procedures and policies regarding return to school, instructional models for both our traditional brick and mortar school and CMCS Online, as well as enhanced safety and health procedures.
If your child will remain at CMCS for the fall, please fill out our Student Intent to Return 2020-2021 form. Select the option that best meets your student’s needs. If you have more than one student at CMCS, you must fill out a different survey for each child. The deadline for making your selection is Tuesday, July 13th at 9:00 pm. Remember that you are making a decision for the entire first semester.
For more information, we will follow the district's mandates regarding masks for students in the classroom. At this time, they are not required; although, that is subject to change by the start of the school year. Students WILL be required to wear masks or face coverings during both morning and afternoon Car Line, while moving about the campus (i.e., walking to PE or recess), as well as during Before Care and After Care.
If you have any other questions to help make your decision, please email info@cmcsmontessori.com with questions.
If you have chosen an alternative to CMCS for the fall for your child, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing administration@cmcsmontessori.com.
We know this is probably one of the most difficult decisions you will likely have to make regarding your child's education. Please reach out if we can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Michael Picone
Principal
