The PACE program is a government approved program popular in California and is rapidly moving throughout Florida. It is a way for you (the homeowner) to get energy efficient upgrades to your home with zero money down and no credit check. So far it has been approved in Pasco County, Charlotte County, Broward County, Miami-Dade County, Alachua County, the city of Orlando, and Winter Park.
Since PACE is government approved, the cost is added to your property taxes over a period of up to 20 years. (If you have future plans to sell your home, payments will transfer with your taxes to the next owner.)
Some energy efficient upgrades approved for the program are: a new roof, foam insulation, solar panels, doors, windows, a hybrid hot water heater, new air conditioner, and duct replacement. *You will benefit from the improvements immediately by having a cooler, more energy efficient home and by lowering the cost of your monthly energy bill!*
