Florida’s Favorite Christmas Songs, Movies Ranked

Is your favorite Christmas song or movie on the rankings released by Saint Leo University?

SAINT LEO, FL — With the busy election season well behind them, the folks at Saint Leo University’s Polling Institute have turned their attention toward a few burning questions of major importance this time of year. Hoping to find out which Christmas songs and movies are America’s and Florida’s favorites, the number crunchers rolled out a series of holiday-related survey questions in late November.

To find out which holiday song gets people humming, pollsters conducted an online survey of 1,001 adults from across the country between Nov. 27-30. That time frame was right as many radio stations across the country began rolling out holiday formats. Respondents were asked to choose their favorites among 47 different songs. Pollsters also took a Florida-centric dive into holiday ditties that involved some 501 adults.

On the national level, it seems the 1818 classic “Silent Night” still tops the charts. In Florida, the hands-down favorite was “Jingle Bells.”
