GL Homes Gives 3 Truckloads Of Furniture To Habitat For Humanity

The $25,000 furniture donation from GL Homes came at just the right time for Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County.

LAND O' LAKES, FL — The $25,000 furniture donation from GL Homes came at just the right time for Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County.

The pandemic has constrained normal activities for the nonprofit including fundraising and volunteering at home construction sites. The tables, chairs, doors, sinks, lighting, cabinets and couches will help Habitat provide much-need affordable housing for deserving families.

GL Homes donated shelving, AC units, cabinets, sinks, toilets, office chairs, couches, interior French doors, tables, home décor (vases and framed art), dishes and window treatments. The donated items filled three truckloads of furniture for Habitat of East & Central Pasco County.

“Every item donated to the Habitat ReStore helps to improve the lives of Pasco County families in need of better shelter. The ReStore relies heavily on the generosity of supporters," said Crystal Lazar, president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco County. "We’re excited about this distinctive donation from GL Homes and it could not have come at a better time – our store has felt the decline in donations as the economy has shifted. This partnership with GL Homes will help replenish the store and bridge the gap we are all feeling during this time."

The ReStore is located at 4700 Allen Road, Zephyrhills.
