Go Above and Beyond During Random Acts of Kindness Week

Smile at 10 strangers. Let someone go ahead of you in line. Reach out to someone you haven't talked to in a while. Volunteer.

Those are just some of the ideas suggested to mark Random Act of Kindness Week, Feb. 11- 17.

The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation encourages kindness to others 365 days a year, but this week the goal is to go "above and beyond to make others feel special," according to the foundation's website.

In Land O' Lakes, you can sign up to volunteer at the Pasco County Animal Shelter, or help out at Christian Social Services. You can reach out to a teacher in need, or buy some diapers for a local mom.

Big or small, kindness begets kindness.
