Good Samaritan Health Clinic Promotion Enters Final Week at Tax Collector's Office!

During August the Good Samaritan Health Clinic has been the featured charitable organization at the Pasco County Tax Collector's Office

During the month of August the Good Samaritan Health Clinic is the featured charitable organization at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. As August winds down the Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Pasco enters its final week as the charity-of-the-month. However, there is still time to give! The Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Pasco is a volunteer-driven, non-profit that provides quality, non-emergency medical and dental services, free of charge, to eligible Pasco County residents.

"Many thanks to Tax Collector Mike Fasano and his staff for allowing the Good Samaritan Health Clinic to be its August charity-of-the-month,” states Melissa Fahy, CEO of the Clinic. “Like so many of our community partners his office provides supportive services to assist us with our mission. We are grateful that the tax collector’s employees have such giving hearts!”

The Good Samaritan Health Clinic recognizes that many members of our community are denied quality medical care and dental care due to their financial situation. Many people who come to the clinic work minimum wage jobs without benefits. It is hard enough for these hardworking individuals to pay daily living expenses, let alone needed medical care. It is estimated that 3,500 patients visit the clinic every year.

“Our relationship with the Good Samaritan Health Clinic goes back two decades or more,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “I’m thrilled that our office has the opportunity to highlight the good work the Clinic and its staff do to provide primary care needs for thousands of patients each year. CEO Melissa Fahy, her staff, volunteers and medical professionals who give of their time and talents truly provide life-changing and often life-saving services to the people they serve. They do this without receiving any state or federal funding! I encourage anyone who is interested in helping ensure that these needed services continue, and that the Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Pasco can grow to meet the ever changing needs of our community to stop by one of our offices and make a donation before the promotion ends.”

The Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office supports local charitable organizations that assist residents of Pasco County.
