Halloween 2017: Pasco High Schools Offer Alternatives
Three Pasco County High Schools are playing host to community events in honor of Halloween.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Pasco County parents looking for alternatives to door-to-door trick-or-treating for their kids this Halloween may want to stop by their local high school. The county announced Monday that three schools are opening their doors for special events meant to provide a safe atmosphere for little ghosts and goblins.
As of Monday, three schools across the county had announced special events for youngsters in the days leading up to Halloween. They are as follows:
Land O’ Lakes High School, 20325 Gator Lane, Laknd O’ Lakes

The school is playing host to a community event on Friday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 6 p.m. during that time frame, the football field will serve as host to food trucks, games, a petting zoo and a Kona Ice retailer. A football game will take place immediately following.
Sunlake High School, 3023 Sunlake Blvd., Land O’ Lakes

Sunlake has a morning of trick-or-treating planned for kids in the community on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The event is open to the community and neighbors from surrounding schools.
River Ridge High School, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey
The school plans a Halloween celebration for the community on Oct. 24 from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Attendees are asked to come dressed in school-appropriate costumes so that they can “trick-or-treat” at different booths that will be set up on the football field. The school will also accept canned good donations for its holiday drive during the event.
