Hurricane Irma: Pasco Shelters Lockdown At Noon
Pasco County shelters lockdown at noon on Sunday, but officials say no one will be turned away.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL – Pasco County is urging its residents who haven’t evacuated yet to do so immediately before shelters begin to begin lockdown ahead of Hurricane Irma.
Pasco County will lockdown hurricane shelters at noon on Sunday, Sept. 10. Also, several more of its shelters have reached capacity throughout the morning.
While a lockdown is being enacted, county officials say "no one will be turned away from any shelter, even those that have reached capacity, but please evacuate now, before the weather deteriorates."

The emergency shelters located at Connerton, Sanders, Oakstead and Pine View elementary schools in Land O’ Lakes, plus Mitchell High School in New Port Richey, have reached capacity for pets. Mitchell High School has also reached capacity for evacuees.
Evacuees can still find room at one of the follow shelters (those in bold have the most room):
