Lightning, Florida Hospital Team Up To Offer Free Health Care

Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Lightning will partner to provide free health care for needy Pasco County residents.

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL - Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Lightning will partner to "do good" for the community on Tuesday, April 17, by providing free health care and personal care to local families in need in Pasco County.

The "Do Good" event will take place at Zephyr Park, 5039 4th St., Zephyrhills, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Pioneer Medical Group and its Pioneer Medical Foundation, a business partner with Florida Hospital, will provide medical care, health screenings, vaccines and medications to those in need in the community.

The organization regularly works in under-served areas where residents cannot afford health care and do not have access to health care.

As part of the "Do Good" event, the Lightning's "Rolling Thunder" will be set up at Zephyr Park, to accept donations of personal care items such as shampoo, soap, deodorant and toothpaste. Those who donate will received free 2018 Lightning playoff swag.
