Lightning-Themed Corn Maze Debuts Soon

The Bolts plan to be on hand for the grand opening.

What’s the best way to recognize the Tampa Bay Lightning’s Stanley Cup run? If you happen to be a farmer in Masaryktown, creating a giant corn maze is sure to suffice.

That’s what the folks at Harvestmoon Farm happened to think. And, they’re hoping since they built it folks will come.

The Lightning-themed corn maze is set to open on Oct. 3 and the Bolt’s ThunderBug and Lightning Girls are poised to attend the festivities, the team announced Monday. The 5-acre corn maze incorporates the Lightning logo into its design and other team-specific images. The cost to check it out is $11.95 for visitors age 3 and up, but fans who wear team gear on opening day will receive a $2 discount. The maze will be open for tours on Saturdays and Sundays throughout October and November, weather permitting, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Aside from wandering the maze, visitors can play games, such as Maizeopoly. A 70-foot jumping pillow, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo and other attractions will also be set up on the farm. Food and drink will also be available.

The farm is located at 15990 Stur St. in Masaryktown. To find out more, visit Harvestmoon’s website.
