Lutz Woman Loses Control Of Car, Strikes House In Land O' Lakes

A 46-year-old Lutz woman had a medical emergency that caused her to lose control of her car and strike a house.

LAND O' LAKES, FL — A 46-year-old Lutz woman sustained minor injuries after having a medical emergency that caused her to lose control of her car and strike a house in Land O' Lakes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, the woman was driving north on Banyan Hill Lane south of Plantation Palms Boulevard when she became ill and lost control of her car.

The car hit a mailbox at 3118 Banyan Hill Lane, struck landscaping at 3136 Banyan Hill Lane before colliding with the garage of a home at 3140 Banyan Hill Lane.

The impact caused several thousands of dollars in damage as the car crashed through a side wall and came to rest in the garage.

No one else was injured.
