Marco's Pizza, Capitol Tacos Cited By Health Inspectors

Food stored on floor and encrusted material on a can opener blade are some of the violations found at Pasco County restaurants.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – Food stored on the floor and encrusted material on a can opener blade are some of the violations that Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors found recently at Pasco County restaurants.

Marco's Pizza 8134, 7808 Land O Lakes Blvd, Land O' Lakes, was cited on March 1 for five violations, including spray bottle of sanitizer hanging from a wire shelf next to clean dishes, operating without a license from the Division of Hotels and Restaurants, and food stored on floor.

Capital Tacos, 27209 State Road Fl 56, Wesley Chapel, was cited on Feb. 28 for 19 violations, including displayed food not properly protected from contamination; employee cleaning dishes, then preparing food without washing hands; gaskets in walk-in cooler with slimy/mold-like buildup; and encrusted material on can opener blade.

Domino's Pizza, 6488 Ridge Rd, Port Richey, was cited for four violations on Feb. 26, including soil residue buildup on hand wash sink and wet mop stored improperly.

Checkers Drive-In, 8602 Us Hwy 19, Port Richey, was cited for 10 violations on Feb. 27, including buildup of soil/debris on the floor under shelving; wall soiled with accumulated black debris in dishwashing area; and improper storage of utensils.

In the last 30 days, 43 Pasco County restaurants did not pass the first inspection while 73 restaurants aced the first visit.
