'Operation Surprise Homecoming' Targets East Pasco Felons

Deputies arrested 18 people on 30 charges, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

The Pasco Sheriff's Office conducted a sting, "Operation Surprise Homecoming," on Wednesday, Jan. 16, which targeted individuals in and around the east side of the county.

According to a sheriff's office media release, the focus was on individuals who are on probation for burglary and grand theft. A Pasco detective compiled a list of all individuals on felony probation for either of those crimes and cross-referenced the list with those individuals that had not registered with the sheriff's office as convicted felons as they are required to do by state statute.

Deputies then arrested each individual for Failure to Register as a Convicted Felon (FTR), which is a misdemeanor. The new misdemeanor charge then caused those individuals to violate their probation (VOP) and they were charged accordingly. A full list of those arrested is included below.
