Pasco Bicyclist Flees Deputies, Runs Into Patrol Car: Sheriff
Pasco County Sheriff's deputies said a bicyclist fled from a traffic stop and crashed into a patrol car.

LAND O' LAKES, FL — A Land O' Lakes man has been charged with resisting arrest and fleeing to elude deputies after Pasco County Sheriff's deputies said he fled from a traffic stop on a bicycle and crashed into a patrol car.
On Monday night, a deputy spotted a man riding a BMX-style bicycle on Land O' Lakes Boulevard against the flow of traffic without lights and attempted to make a traffic stop. Instead, the bicyclist, later identified as Joshua Steven Barton, 37, of Sunset Bay, began to flee and ended up crashing into another patrol vehicle. He then tried to run away on foot but was apprehended.
Deputies discovered his was on probation for possession of methamphetamine.

He was taken to the Land O' Lakes Detention Center where his bond was set at $5,150.
