Pasco Coastal Cleanup is Saturday

The Pithlachascotee River is one of New Port Richey’s most well-known natural resources.Â
This weekend, you have the chance to help keep it beautiful.Â
New Port Richey is hosting the Cotee River clean Up on the banks of the river Saturday Sept. 21.Â
Volunteers are being invited to assemble at the Sims Park boat ramp near the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce on Main Street at 8 a.m. From there, those on foot will pick up trash from the river banks. Those with boats will clean from the water. Â
The first 100 to the dock get t-shirts. Free lunch will be served at 11 a.m. For more information call (727) 841-4560 or email KingK@CityofNewPortRichey.org .
The cleanup coincides with the Pasco County Coastal Cleanup, which coincides with the International Coastal Cleanup. The Cleanup lasts from 8 a.m. to 2 pm.For a a list of team captains, Contact Pasco County recycling at (727) 856Â
