Pasco County Blueberry Festival Returns
Fun, food and music will be a part of this annual event.
In 2011, Brenda Short held the first Blueberry Jerry Jamboree in honor of her husband John and son Jerry.
The Shorts began growing blueberries and opened Shorts Berry Barn in Pasco County in 2002 and soon grew a reputation of being a go-to for the best berries. Brenda felt it only right to showcase the berries in a festival for the community.
The jamboree was a hit and has been a tradition in the community ever since.

This year the jamboree, sponsored by Faith United Methodist Church in Hudson, will be held April 26-28 at the Rotary Pavillion, 15325 Alric Pottberg Road in Shady Hills, Fla.
The weekend festival will include vendors, music, food, games and, of course, blueberries. On Saturday and Sunday morning, a blueberry pancake breakfast will be served. Other highlights include country music artist Adrian Ray and local blue grass and church choir performers. For the younger blueberry lovers, there will be face-painting and puppet shows.
