Pizza Villa Honored For Community Service

Pizza Villa is the recipient of the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce's Heart of Pasco award.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Pizza Villa might be best known for the hot food it serves up daily, but there’s much more to the eatery that sits just off busy State Road 54. The management and staff at the establishment have a long track record of giving back to the community; a reality that isn’t lost on the members of the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce.

“Pizza Villa has given back to the community in countless way, and in some instances, the business’ kind deeds may not have been properly acknowledged as they should have been,” said Sandy Graves, chair of the chamber’s community affairs committee. “Their commitment to commerce, along with the friendships they share with fellow business owners, creates a strong bond as a thriving business for our area and our chamber.” (For more local news from Florida, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts and newsletters from Land O’ Lakes Patch. For those reasons and more, the chamber selected Pizza Villa as the recipient of its Heart of Pasco award. The quarterly honor is meant to put a focus on organizations that promote the chamber’s mission to “advance the general welfare of our area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community will prosper.”

Pizza Villa’s Cheryl Will said the recognition is an honor, and its timing couldn’t be more appropriate.

“In April of 2018, we will be celebrating 30 years here in the heart (center) of Pasco,” Will told Patch. “It has been a blessing to serve and work with people that care for each other and their community.”

Central Pasco, Will said, is a special area. Even with all its recent growth, “it still feels like a family environment here.”
