Renovated Dog Park Set to Open March 28

Thomas B. Dobies donated $25,000 for the improvements at Anclote Gulf Park.

HOLIDAY, FL – A dog’s life is about to get better in Pasco County.

The new and improved dog park at Anclote Gulf Park is scheduled to have its official grand opening Monday, March 28 at 9:30 a.m. The renovations were made possible by a $25,000 donation from local funeral director Thomas B. Dobies, in memory of his beloved dog, Lucy.

Upgrades to the dog park include an additional fenced area for dogs of all sizes, more picnic tables and covered benches, dog water fountains, and a canine agility play set. With the improvements, Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Department expects more visitors to the already-popular park.
