RJ's Wild Wild Wings, Taco Amigo Cited By Health Inspectors
Dead roaches, a foul odor and improperly stored coffee filters are some of the health violations found recently in Pasco County restaurants.
PASCO COUNTY, FL – Dead roaches, a foul odor and improperly stored coffee filters are some of the violations that Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors found recently in Pasco County restaurants.
RJ's Wild Wild Wings, 5130 Gall Blvd., Zephyrhills, was cited for eight violations on June 14, including dead roaches found on premises — five dead roaches behind order-taking station in bar and five dead roaches behind refrigerator in kitchen (employees swept up all dead roaches); objectionable odor observed in dish area and near rear exit door in kitchen; missing ceiling tile near ice machine, and floor tiles cracked and broken on cookline.
Taco Amigo, 5009 Gall Blvd., Zephyrhills, was cited for three violations on June 14, including carbon dioxide/helium tanks not adequately secured in dry storage area; walk-in cooler/floor soiled; and no proof of required, state-approved training provided for any employees.

Dunkin Donuts, 36643 Highway 54, Zephyrhills, was cited forseven violations on June 11, including spray bottle containing toxic substance not labeled; coffee filters not stored in a protected manner to prevent contamination; and large coffee strainer stored in employee hand wash sink at front counter area.
In the last 30 days, 47 Pasco County restaurants did not pass the first inspection while 83 restaurants aced the first visit.

The inspectors made note of two Pasco County restaurants that passed inspections without any violations: Crimson A1 Barbecue, 18321 Geraldine Road, Dade City; and White Heron Tea & Gifts, 6228 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey.
