Skateboard Marathon To Be Held

International "Go Skateboarding Day" happens this year on June 21.  

The annual event is a time for skateboarders around the globe to celebrate the sport. It is estimated that more than 18 million people worldwide skateboard.

Locally, a skateboarding marathon will be held at the Grille 54 restaurant, located at 10900 State Road 54 in Trinity as way to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day.

Dylan V., a member of the Big Dream Skate Team left this message on the Go Skateboarding Day website about the Trinity event:

"Hey Everyone, I'm going to be hosting a Go Skate Day marathon at the Grill 54 in Florida. I hope for a great turn out this year and I can't wait to see all the ill skaters there, it will be street skating and we hope you guys can bring some rails and mini ramps and stuff."
