Sparklebration 2016: What to Know Before You Go

Pasco County July 4th celebration features an evening of entertainment and fireworks.

Dade City, FL – One of the largest Independence Day celebrations in Pasco County combines July 4th favorites with a county fair atmosphere.

Sparklebration features an evening of events and entertainment for the whole family, wrapping up with a fireworks display. Here’s what area residents need to know before you go to Sparklebration 2016.

Date and Time

Sparklebration is scheduled for Monday, July 4 from 4 to 9:30 p.m.

Location

The event takes place at the Pasco County Fairgrounds, 36722 State Road 52 in Dade City.

Admission and Parking

Admission to Sparklebration is $5 per person. Children 12 and younger get in free. Parking is $5 per vehicle.

Contests

The following food-eating contests will take place at the Dan Cannon Auditorium:

  • 4 to 5 p.m.: Hot Dog Eating Contest Signup
  • 4 to 5:30 p.m.: Ghosts & Glory Hot Dog Eating Contest Signup
  • 4 to 6 p.m.: Watermelon Eating Contest Signup
  • 5:30 p.m.: Hot Dog Eating Contest
  • 6 p.m.: Ghosts & Glory Hot Dog Eating Contest
  • 6:30 p.m.: Watermelon Eating Contest

Entertainment

The following live acts will perform on the Outdoor Stage during Sparklebration 2016:

  • 5 p.m.: Billy “Elvis” Lindsey
  • 5:30 p.m.: Skydive City Skydivers Drop-In (weather-permitting)
  • 5:30 p.m.: The Dennis Lee Show

Other Attractions

The following attractions will be available throughout Sparklebration:

  • All-American Food Court
  • Bloodmobile
  • Bounce houses and jumpers
  • Face painting
  • Pony rides and petting zoo
  • Tony the Balloon Guy

Fireworks

The celebration will culminate with a professional fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks. The display is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
