TreeHoppers Expands, Adds New Events

TreeHoppers, the aerial adventure park in Pasco County, has some new surprises in store for visitors.

DADE CITY, FL — Tampa Bay area residents who have braved the aerial zip line adventures at Dade City’s TreeHoppers will find a few new draws await at the high-flying attraction.

Just a year since its opening, TreeHoppers has announced the completion of an expansion project and the addition of two new evening events.

“It’s been a successful first year for TreeHoppers,” Jon Pianki, marketing director for TreeHoppers, said in a statement. “The growing popularity of zip lines in the U.S. has been a catalyst to our attraction’s attendance growth, allowing us to add a few new concepts and a pro shop for our visitors.”

That pro shop is a brand new 2,000-square-foot facility that is designed to make the TreeHoppers experience more enjoyable for guests. Now open, the shop features a registration area, gift shop, restrooms and an area designated for outfitting climbers with the harnesses they wear while traversing the park’s climbing and zip line attractions.

“This new addition will streamline the check-in/out process for visitors,” park officials explained.

The park has also rolled out two new events: twilight climbs and a Glow in the Park party.

“Twilight climbs allow thrill-seekers to zip line under the lights through TreeHoppers’ old Florida forest,” officials said. “The entire park, including all eight courses, will be open and lit up with LED lighting to create a magical experience.”

Twilight climbs will be staged on the weekends starting Saturday, April 23. General admission hours have been extended until 9 p.m. on Fridays and 10 p.m. on Saturdays to cover the special events. Once a month, TreeHoppers will also offer a Glow in the Park party that will include a DJ and lights.

TreeHoppers boasts more than 100 aerial elements that span over eight courses. The park is located at 27839 Saint Joe Road.
