'Unreasonable' Slap Lands Woman in Jail

A 35-year-old Wesley Chapel woman was arrested on a child abuse charge.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Devika Niccole Frazier, Balmoral Court, was taken to Land O’ Lakes Jail Sunday (Sept. 22) after grabbing the child by the neck with her right hand and slapping him with the left.

The incident resulted in “injuries” to the cheek and minor lacerations to the neck. Frazier later stated to authorities her actions were “unreasonable.”

Frazier has since been released on $5,000 bond.
