Voluntary Evacuation Issued Near Anclote River In Pasco County: Hurricane Irma
Pasco County officials recommend residents living in the Elfers area near the Anclote River should evacuate.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County issued a voluntary evacuation for residents living in the Elfers area, as the rising waters of the Anclote River posed safety concerns Monday evening. Officials said the Anclote River was expected to reach about six feet above flood stage. The river will continue to rise and could reach nearly 26.5 feet by Tuesday evening, county officials said.
The National Weather Service said more than 300 homes in the area might need to be evacuated.

County officials recommended that residents living in the area labeled "Evacuation Area" on this map should evacuate.

"You have to get out now,'' Kevin Guthrie, Pasco's assistant county administrator for public safety told Tampa Bay Times. "You've got a day.''

All other evacuation orders have been rescinded, county officials said.
