ICYMI: Winn-Dixie Ends Fuel Perks In Favor Of Plenti
Winn-Dixie is rolling out a replacement for its popular Fuel Perks program starting in April.

Floridians who favor shopping at Winn-Dixie so they can drive away with savings at Shell gas station pumps may be in for a bit of a surprise come April 5. That’s the day the grocery chain intends to roll out a new customer reward program in partnership with Plenti.
Winn-Dixie announced its partnership with Plenti on Wednesday, March 15. The new loyalty program is meant to be an upgrade to the popular Fuel Perks program that has saved shoppers cold hard cash at the pump for quite some time.
“Plenti, a program operated by American Express, offers members numerous ways to earn points and save on the things they already shop for every day, regardless of the payment method used,” a media release announcing the switch said.

Winn-Dixie opened up enrollment into the new Winn-Dixie Rewards with Plenti program on Wednesday. Customers can sign up at their local stores and online. While not a straight gas savings program, Winn-Dixie assures customers they can still save at local pumps due to Plenti’s partnership with such stations as Mobil and Exxon. Other partner locations include Macy’s, Chili’s, Rite Aid and AT&T.
“At Southeastern Grocers, we are always looking for ways to provide better value to our customers,” Sharry Cramond, chief marketing officer for Southeastern Grocers, Winn-Dixie’s parent company, said in a statement. “Our new rewards program with Plenti provides our customers the ability to not only gain savings on gas, but on groceries as well. The new program will therefore offer more ways to earn, more ways to save and even greater flexibility for our customers – thanking and rewarding them for their loyalty.”
